This marks the fifth year of the
Southern Grace dinner series: a succession of highly anticipated culinary events featuring a star-studded list of Southern celebrity chefs. This year, Fisher’s at Orange Beach Marina is hosting the summer-long event. Don’t miss your once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to try unforgettable dishes prepared by award-winning and celebrity chefs.

The next dinner coming up in the series is on June 21st, featuring Ashley Christensen of Poole’s Diner in Raleigh, NC. Christensen worked in some of the Triangle’s top kitchens before opening her own restaurant, Poole’s Diner, in 2007. The menu at Poole’s features re-imagined comfort food featuring local and seasonal ingredients with French flair. Since 2011, Christensen has opened 3 more dining establishments, including a classic Southern restaurant, an upgraded take on a burger joint, and a craft cocktail bar.

On June 28th, you can experience the cooking of Cassidee Dabney and Roy Milner of Blackberry Farm in Walland, TN. Dabney has been the Executive Chef at Blackberry Farm since 2015, where she serves up multi-course menus featuring seasonal farm-fresh products grown onsite. Milner is a 20 year veteran of the craft brewing industry, having worked as a brewer in various breweries throughout the Southeast. His unique and delicious beers and ales pair perfectly with Dabney’s fresh dishes.

On July 12th, catch an all-star team of culinary masters including Adam Evans, Alex Harrell, David Bancroft, Rob McDaniel, and Robby Melvin. This team of pros will be joining forces to create an unforgettable feast. If you’re looking to gain exposure to the work of as many amazing chefs as possible at once, this is the event to go to!

July 26th features the mastery of Hugh Acheson who owns multiple restaurants and establishments in Athens and Atlanta, such as 5&10, The National, Empire State South, Achie’s, and Spiller Park Coffee. He’s written multiple award winning cookbooks including A New Turn in the South, Pick a Pickle, The Broad Fork, and the Chef & the Slow Cooker.

The final event in the series is on August 2nd, presented by superstar celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse. Lagasse is the chef/proprietor of 12 restaurants. You probably know him from the many shows he’s hosted on the Food Network, as well as his work as food correspondent for ABC’s Good Morning America. He’s also appeared on Top Chef and the Rachael Ray Show and is the bestselling author of 19 cookbooks. If that’s not enough to convince you to attend his dinner at Orange Beach, we don’t know what will!

Tickets to the dinners are available online and start at $150 each. Some dinners include signed copies of the presenting chefs’ cookbooks. Be sure to reserve your tickets soon as the dinners are known to sell out fast! Fisher’s at Orange Beach is less than a 15 minute drive away from Best Western on the Beach. We offer free parking to all our guests, making it easy for you to explore the local area, including Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, and all the awesome communities along the water.
